Hotel building is One Star. Comfort is One Star. Management is One Star. Housekeeping staff is Four Star. Reception staff is Four Star. Fika staff is Five Star. Restaurant staff is 4 Star. Old building. Not soundproof - you hear everything clearly from the other rooms and from the hallways 24/7 - doors opening and closing, all conversations from everyone in the hallways, housekeeping walkie talkies. Construction and offices on the 4th floor is noisy, if you are in rooms on the 3rd floor. Currently, there is major hotel construction on street level stores under hotel rooms. Its very loud. Construction hours are from 9.00 am to 9 pm. Soon hotel restaurant is closing. They will open a bar in its place - right under the hotel rooms. The bar will stay open until 2am every night. The smoking area will be right outside the bar, in front of the hotel rooms. Soon, the noisy construction will begin to build the bar. Hotel breakfast will be served on 4th floor in a conference room. For all other meals you will have to go to other Cherkassy restaurants. Many teenage sports teams and children's groups stay at this hotel. They are disruptive and run uncontrolled around the hotel at all hours. Hotel security has never taken any action. He just sits at reception playing games on his phone. This is a very noisy hotel on the main city street. High turnover of staff in all areas. Management not service oriented or problem solvers - they don't like to be disturbed. They prefer to hide in the back offices. Hospitality should be all about communication with the guests. The rooms are basic...a bed, a small desk, one chair...in the bathroom your get bath soap - no other amenities. You can 'rent' slippers and a robe from reception! Your small TV has poor reception and local Ukraine TV stations only. No English channels. Depending which room you get, your TV might get BBC or CNN. Internet is included but slow connection. Majority of double beds are 2 single beds poorly pushed together, with a hole in the middle. You'll end up sleeping on one single bed for comfort. Shower water pressure is weak. During your shower, the water temperature randomly changes from cold to hot to cold. Comments or concerns to reception are pointless. Most of the good ratings here are from people who stay 1 night only. This hotel is good for 1 or 2 nights - not any longer. I stay here only because of location - across the street from where I work. And my company pays. I come to Cherkasy 40-50 days a year. Unfortunately, most of the 'airbnb' apartments here are still old soviet style buildings, old apartments with old furnishings. The most pleasant part of the hotel is Fika Cafe. It's typically full of local teenagers, but staff is friendly and they make good drinks! Some food items and desserts too! Reikartz is spending a lot of money renovating the hotel property's revenue areas, but sadly, Reikarz is spending nothing on improving the sound quality and comfort of these noisy hotel rooms.
Fika Cafe.
Everything else.

Location: the hotel was right by the city center and all sightseeings and Ukraine. There were plenty of restaurants to eat, like Presto Pizza that was only 10 minutes' walk away...

Had an amazing romantic retreat in the heartbeat of the city with my partner. the hotel's free parking was very useful for us, and the modern and clean room was just perfect for our stay. We also received two complementary drinks that we enjoyed at the hotel's cafe with a lovely atmosphere. the location was just great, as we were close to lots of restaurants and shops where we had a wonderful time exploring the city.
That we didn't enjoy the breakfast that much, but we found some great cafes around the hotel where we had a tasty breakfast.
